Sponsor The People Behind the Racks
The People Behind the Racks programme gives the data centre industry open access to data and insights on human performance. Its aim is to help build more productive, more resilient working environments, with less staff turnover and reduced risk of burnout and overload.
Sponsorship funds the programme and keeps its data, insights and events free to access.
Why the programme is needed
Data centres depend on skilled people working under sustained operational pressure. How well those people perform, and how well they cope with that pressure, has a direct effect on service quality and reliability.
The industry has little shared, comparable data on what drives performance and resilience in its workforce. PBTR is designed to provide it, so that operators and their partners can see what supports their people and where to improve.
What the programme produces
All outputs are based on a dedicated global survey of data centre staff, built on MindAlpha's Motivation Metrics framework.
Annual report
Findings on human performance and resilience across the industry, published once a year.
Performance and resilience indices
Published indices measuring human performance and workforce resilience.
Searchable dashboard
Open online access to the survey results.
Annual events
Held each year in key data centre markets.
Webinars
Two to three online sessions a year.
Global coverage
The survey and its outputs cover the industry worldwide.
